OnzeRit started in 2026, in Amsterdam, with four engineers and one stubborn observation. We had spent the previous decade building platforms across payments, marketplaces, and multi-tenant SaaS for businesses on every continent. And in the middle of all that work, the same complaint kept coming up: "How do I move goods without surrendering 30% of my margin to a courier, or 25% of a driver's salary to a recruiter?" The honest answer was always the same — you can't. There's no infrastructure built for this. Just a patchwork of agencies, couriers, and spreadsheets pretending to be one.
So we left, and we built it ourselves. OnzeRit is the platform we kept wishing existed — a place where drivers find work, companies move goods, vehicles show up when no one has one, and AI plans every load and every route. Headquartered in Amsterdam, where logistics has been a national skill for four centuries. Made for every business and every driver, in every market, that has ever needed to send something somewhere.

Smart Load doesn't suggest, it calculates. Cargo placement, drop order, vehicle fit — all returned as a ready-to-execute plan, not a chat reply. AI is welcome on this platform only when it saves real time.

Three continents, one broken pattern
We started in 2023 with one question: why is moving goods so consistently painful — across markets, industries, and company sizes? For more than a year we spent time with carriers, drivers, fleet operators, e-commerce founders, and family-run logistics shops across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. The same pattern surfaced in every conversation: drivers can't find the work they want, companies overpay couriers and recruiters, and nobody owns the connective tissue in between.

After a year of cross-continental research, one answer came back stronger than the rest: Europe carries the world's largest unsolved delivery gap. And it is, geographically, the heart of global goods movement — Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, Schiphol — the gateway between every continent that ships and every continent that receives. Solve the problem here, and you build the infrastructure the rest of the world can plug into.

Shaping the full ecosystem
With the gap clearly mapped, we spent the next year designing the platform end-to-end — not just a matching marketplace, but the connected stack our research said the market actually needed. OnzeRit Match for drivers and companies. OnzeRit Fleet for the moments when nobody has the right vehicle. OnzeRit Smart Load AI for the cargo planning and routing that used to live in someone's head. Three services, one platform — designed in full before we wrote a single line of production code.

A dedicated, experienced team — every layer, on purpose
We assembled engineers with 17+ years of platform-building experience and went layer by layer: identity, verification, payments, vehicle integrations, route optimization, the AI training pipeline. Every component was built by people who had shipped its equivalent at scale before. No frameworks chosen for hype, no architecture taken on faith — every decision earned its place in the system.
